My Second week in School

Well, Monday was a normal day for the most part except we had an assembly in the afternoon so Courtney and I stayed all day at school. Apparently the P7 group won a contest where a semi-famous guy would come sing to them and spend the afternoon with them. Well it just so happens that Keith Jack ( he is the star..he was runner-up in some reality music show) came to the teachers lounge and sat by to me and Courtney! Since we are so cool we talked to him and I went back to class before the assembly and told the girls that I had talked to him and I thought one of the girls was going to faint she was so excited. Keep in mind the girls I am talking to are 6 and 7 years old. So he sang a couple of songs and really did a good job and then the kids got to ask him questions. Here is the good part, one of the girls in the room asked how old he was and he said 20 and at the same time all the kids in the class and Mrs. Mardon look at me and smile! The only bad thing is, he looks like he is 16 and he lives here....no where close to the U.S. Anyways, so after the assembly the kids got to go out to play and I went back to the room to do some lesson planning and he was in the library!!!! (for those that don't know, I was trying to act like a 7th grade girl) So Courtney and I asked if we coul have our picture with him, cause who knows he might be really famous one day. That night we stayed up pretty late to study for a Bible test the next morning. So we got up Tuesday to take the test t 8:30..I finshed by 8:45, and had until noon to do whatever I wanted. So I worked on homework...great way to spend some free time and then went to school for the annual Sports day! Sports day is pretty much an afternoon the younger kids spend playing differnt games like bean bag toss, and jump rope and what not. They are in teams and have to work together to get points. Anyways, it was the first day I found out I was allowed to take pictures of them so I thought I would share a few. I can't say names...but they are all really cute! One thing that did happen during sports day was one of the little boys in my class gave me a flower that he picked himself from the grass. I said thank you and he moved on. End of story...NOT, so a few groups later another little boy in my class asked me where I got the flower from and if I was going to keep it. I told him and before I knew what was happening he took the flower out of my hand and smashed it on the ground. Needless to say, that little boy had a lot of extra thinking time on his hands.
On Wednesday we were going to meet the Provost (Mayor) of Falkirk. For those of you who don't know, this is a big deal. So we got there an hour and half early becasue our meeting wasn't until 2:30 not 2:00..so we had class in the lobby while we waited. After a little while he came down to greet us and took us into a room where they have coffee and we talked for a while. Then we got to go into the chambers and sit in his chair and try on all the cool robes he wears different places. It was really neat. After that we went to his office and we were visiting in there and the question came up about if anyone can wear his "chain." The porvost has a gold chain that is worth 180,000 u.s. dollars that has the Falkirk crest on it and we wanted to know if anyone was allowed to wear it. He said that no one but the Porvost was supposed to but he would make an exception for us. So we all had a turn wearing it, well on my turn the group decided it would great if I would lay down a few beats while I was wearing his "bling." After a lot of persuasion, I did and let me tell you I have never been more nervous than after I finished. Those that have heard me rap I did the "hello, my name is Megan and I like..." Anyways, I figure I will never see him again and I don't think I will ever have the chance to do that again. For all our hard work he gave us an ink pen and a oin of the Falkirk Crest.

On Thursday, everything was normal until after dinner. We all wanted to get some energy out so we played a frisbee game that is like soccer and ultimate frisbee all together. Well, I slipped on the wet grass, and got hit several times...I definately got energy out. After that Aubry decided to skateboard...in within 5 min. she had fallen off and was laying on the ground. Well Courtney went over to help her, but decided to pour her glass of water on Aubry's head. Which was really, really funny..until Aubrey decided to throw her glass of water on ME....I have no idea how I got involved but I was now involved. So I went on a man hunt for Courtney who started all this and she was nowhere to be found. Her day is coming......beware!
That was my second week at school...the next blog will be soon...it will be about this weekend..Fun! Love ya bunches!
