falling into place!

Well, today I got my flight information! I know for most that isn't a big deal, but it really means that I'm going to Scotland...I have a place on the plane!!! I truly am feeling excited today, I guess I finally feel that things are falling into place and the adventures are about to begin.

Also, yesterday I got my packing list...which in my opinion is a little late since I started packing during Spring Break ( ha ha)! I just can't write/tell you enough how blessed I feel to have an opportunity to influence others lives and how scared I am all at the same time. I worry about whether I will do the right things and say the right things. I worry that I won't be able to shine for Christ like I know I can or that I will be shy and miss opportunities to share the Gospel like I know I should. BUT, I know I serve a God of compassion, of service, of comfort and of confidence. I know that He will protect me, and give me the words to say when I need them. I know that God will point me in the right direction and that I am going to have the experiences this summer for a reason! I guess what I'm trying to say is that while I may worry because it is human nature, my conscience and my heart knows that God is in control.

I just want to end with a scripture, it is one of my most favorite verses!

"For I know the plans I have for you, Declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." -Jeremiah 29:11

A month from now!

Hey everyone! Well if you are reading this you will know that a month from TODAY I leave for Scotland! I can't beileve I'm really going, and my parents are okay with it :), at least I think they are! I must tell you though the thought of being away from family and friends for 6weeks makes me feel sad and a little scared. So I am hoping that by me keeping this blog I will be able to share bits and pieces of my adventures this summer. For those that don't know why and what I'm doing this summer, this next part is for you!

I have the oppurtunity to do my Pre-student teaching in Scotland! I will be in the classroom four days a week and on the weekends I will be touring different areas of Scotland along with visiting area churches and helping out with whatever needs to be done. So throughout the summer I will be blogging some of my experiences and posting pictures and so on. But here comes the other part of my summer. I also have the oppurtuinity to intern at my home congregation before and after my trip. I will be working along side Kyle P. with our youth group back home! I'm really excited to go on mission trips, and go to Green Valley Bible Camp as a counselor...and things like that. so I will also be writing about those experiences as well and posting pictures!
